Market Ticker: Caution: Mortgage Explosions Just Starting (And More)

The simple message here is the national economic fabric is continuing to
unravel and we have not seen anything yet. They plan to rewind ..and not to
be kind. This is kill the bit players ..by their own description.

An early warning that this is far from over may offer us some protection.

But economically this analysis is disturbing to me by the description of the
breath of the problem and the damage that maybe inflicted.
Also, if i am understanding the implications of the Fed's and the government
treasury responses they maybe making it even worse as they are definitely
protecting the big players.

Mish's Global Economic Trend Analysis: Buffett: Recession Longer, Deeper Than Most Think

They are now making it official. The sky..is..falling!
Mish's prediction on the general direction of the economy is that it will take an "L" form and this is rather than the more traditional recession forms of a "V" or maybe a "U". Though a "W" is also another down turn possibility in recessions 'we have known'.
So what's an "L"?..... We'll it is similar to what happened to Japan's economy in the early nineteen nineties. It went down and it just stayed down for about 17 years. The Japanese economy didn't grow and the working population just stood still and then recently it again seems to have possibly woke up. Of course the Japanese had been stuffing their pillows with Yen/dollars so they didn't experience the down turn as a collapse.
Of course, what makes the "L" form non predictable for the U.S. is this country is actually bankrupt on a number of significant levels and the productive population.... those who pay the bills are also 'plastic broke'. Our national manufacturing base has consisted of house building and with all the appendages that could ever be desired.
We then joyfully sold these contrived money boxes which where too large for our shrinking families aswell as too far away from the job and too costly to maintain too each other until we where all... so rich... and we all had our fill of ....playing house. And what people will eventually end up living in is a modified Motel Six with the porch light off.
But then the actual bill came as a big surprise and that's when we all tried to sell at once just like in any...other...Ponzi pyramid game. You know the game where everyone looses other than that first guy out the door and who also takes it all with him. And that's what Charles Ponzi did in the nineteen twenties here in the U.S. So this is just a very large variation on an old scam of something for nothing and the nothing is actually what we are ending up with.
And now all the MacPalaces are again turning into pumpkins...and when we look at them and even if we squint ...they now seem to be just rotting Pumpkins. And as to that money tree we had seen planted on the front lawn it now turns out is wilted and dieing.
And of course our other dollar machine has been weapons and war. And the strange thing about armaments and their by products... Wars! They are both the most profitable of our national industries which keeps the equities markets from hemorrhaging before our eyes. But very little ever seems to make it back into our economy. They have one customer the tax payer and they are always shown as red on the governments books... like in blood.
And then we have the price of life necessities going up but none of that profit shows up in the peoples pockets either. The 'smiley car' oil corporations and the food and grain cartels seem not to hand anything back as they legally rob us of our own wealth.
And how deep is the vertical (fall) side of the "L" and how long is the horizontal line of the base? Some analyst are giving estimates on the first of three too five years for the 'fall' line before our feet even feel the sludge on the bottom.
And as to those few who are using the "L" for a predicted explanation. They are just not saying much about that mysterious horizontal line as it seems we will be in another world reality when we finally get down there. And who knows what lurks in those "briny deeps"?

re: chem trails

Peggy,
Thanks much for the chem trail article. It has credibility and which allot
of these types of reports can lack. And I sent it along to a number of
people.
To me the obvious next step would be to determine if their is a seasonal and
regional pattern to the spraying or is it still in the random testing stage.
Though i do recall the reports and later confirmed that the CIA was spraying
the Bay Area in the early seventies. I believe i read this in Acid Dreams,
by: Lee, and which was published in the mid eighties.

So if it's with a blanket pattern i have to assume they have gone to the
first stage of exterminating us.
For those who are able to entertain the thought of big brother and his
helpers. And if we step back from the mechanics of what they maybe doing and
why in the U.S. rather than South America or Africa. I think we have to
conclude that the North American continent is now being seen as a whole with
out nationalistic borders and aswell considered a third world environment.
I say this since they are not spraying the population density areas of the
nation or at least from this report if i am reading it correctly.
So for those who are entertaining world dominance strategy their is nothing
special about most of the North American continent. Other than a few
financial power centers and which 'they' are also functioning in.

With gasoline skyrocketing towards $4/gal, those yelling Perkasieites
may want to ask where you got that scooter. Vespa and Cushman
scooters were once ubiquitous with male teenagers throughout the Rust
Belt in the Fifties and Sixties when gas was two bits or less and
before Honda screwed the works. I have talked with the outcast one
recently , scootersalami, and he has been looking most frequently
into his glass ball, actually an endless succession of glass beer
bottles, and has seen nothing but doom and gloom for the U.S. economy
until the end of the decade, characterized by rising consumer good and
commodity
prices coupled with stagnant and declining pay rates for middle class
America. Perfect breeding conditions for scooters.

Stephen J. Sniegoski -- THE WAR ON IRAQ: CONCEIVED IN ISRAEL, part one thru four.

http://www.thornwalker.com/ditch/snieg_conc1.htm
This is a very through commentary on the most important aspect of the
United States involvement in the middle east wars which are killing and
manning thousand. And as well driving this country into economic depression.
It clearly documents that the neo cons are carrying water for the Israel
Zionist and to the extent of fighting two wars against Israelis enemies.
Especially while Israel itself has no troops involved.

As the author points out it is rare for an empire (super power) to fight the
wars of an individual state. But in this case the neo cons who now control
the administration are either openly Zionists or have adopted the
perspective of the Zionists.

And we should also recognize that the tactics to convince and then involve
the U.S in the attack on Iran are the same as what was used to involve us in
attacking Iraq and Afghanistan. "The threat of terrorism by the Arabs." We
attacked because we where told Iraq and Afghanistan where a threat to our
security. And 9/11 was conceived and carried out by Iraq.

The middle east conflicts are not oil wars....Though we are frequently told
that is what they are about. The middle east wars are about Zionist Israelis
dominance in the middle east.
And that is quoting the current statements of the Zionists in the U.S.
government as well as the 'advisers'.

The subject is extremely important and complex so it is presented in four
parts.
And as the author points out that discussion and criticism can be presented
on just about any political subject with the exception of what Israelis
motives, intentions and actions are. And especially sensitive is the roll of
control by American Zionists for the benefit of a foreign country...Israel.
This is usually called treason but in the case of the American Zionist this
rule is over looked.

Israel has no supporters in it's expansionist wars with it's Arab neighbors.
The U.S. has no (actual) allies in it's two intrusive costly wars in the
middle east with the exception of Israel. Are we collectively so dumbed down
that we can't conclude what the rest of the world finds to be clearly
evident. That we are the aggressor and we are doing the bidding of Israel.

I don't believe a recession has yet been declared by the money lenders.
So here they are talking about the worst even before it has officially
started.
Could this lack of candidness have something to do with their problem that
if they acknowledge recession and the economy continues to fall people will
soon expect and acknowledgment that we have now gone in to depression.

Peak Oil: Life After the Oil Crash

http://www.lifeaftertheoilcrash.net/BreakingNews.html
And of course some of this is caused by grain stock manipulation by the big
five. Locally some could be caused by individuals hording but over all we
have to recognize that a slew of countries and some being grain producers
have halted grain exports.

China recently was willing to pay three times more for fertilizer than it
had cost them in the past. This is a grain price issue but it is also
natural gas cost which is the energy form used to produce nitrogen
fertilizers.

And then we have biodiesel and such for our vehicles. It seems we would
rather burn corn than eat it. We'll actually we eat it but only indirectly
as we feed it to animals that we then eat.
Isn't their something very wrong in that chain of events? We'll if we can't
seem to see it for ourselves i think the distortion and hunger will help us
ponder our actions.

So why should we be surprised if it is coming apart at all the seams?

'One in five US servicemen has brain injury' - Telegraph

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2008/04/18/wiraq118.xml
It's a different war than in the past with far more battle inflicted brain
injuries and EVEN acknowledged mental illness.
And soon these guys will be coming home ..too what?
We'll i doubt they will be leaving their problems behind.
And all those churchy on the trunk stickers about supporting our troops.
And usually on large older cars with blue hair behind the wheel.
I wonder if we will see many saying how they support the mentally damaged
and ill as well as unemployed or unemployable veterans?

I think they will soon be seen as those druggies hanging near the dumpster
behind the 7-11.
A problem? no way! that's why we lead the world in prison construction.

Behind Military Analysts, the Pentagonâ?Ts Hidden Hand - New York Times

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/20/washington/20generals.html?_r=1&th&emc=th&oref=slogin
I found this painful to read that the 'retired generals' as a group
continually and collectively sold out the U.S. military personal and the
country for their need for continued prestige as well as enormous profits
from the various media outlets and military contractors. They are quoted
here in detail. Their only excuses seems to be the manipulators where too
big to oppose. Which really means they would have got locked out from their
emotional and money cookie jar.... Bad boy's don't get cookies!

Collectively they come across as 'yes men' and moral cowards.
It's easier to give orders than to confront what is wrong if it involves
loosing the systems perks. Personal courage is really a rare commodity and
it appears it is not concentrated in the U.S. military field grade officer
class.
You may recall the recently retired (fired) Admiral (Fox Fallon) for the
middle east command was quoted as stating their would be no attack on Iran
while he was in command.
Also, his quoted remark that General Petraeus his replacement was: a chicken
shit brown nose. Sure sounds like the right man to get the job done.
What job? Lie and cover up the situation especially in Iraq and then attack
Iran.

So if you watch TV and especially Fox Media they had no intention of giving
you factual information and analyst. There intention was and is to mislead,
conceal and just plain lie to the listener.

Fortunately, through it all their where a few field grade officers (retired)
who spoke the truth. Though these where never hired by the media as
consultants. Also these where trashed as i can recall by the pentagon, the
administration and the national news media when they tried to warn the
nation that we where being lied too..

And through it all our rank and file military personal continues to die for
the neo cons and these kiss ass brass hawks own glory.

My advice to everyone is just don't listen to any 'news' on TV or the so
call (miss called: talk shows) as they intentionally miss inform and play to
our obvious fears and prejudices. They tell us what they know we want to
hear and then add their own poison as well.

And this is why the government has cut funding to the NPR and forced some of
the independents off the air. Dude, it's mind control coming at us big time.

If this was reporting from the business channels by analysis for some
industrial sector (background) report ...It's sucker beware.
But in this case it's indorsing and supporting two needless wars which has
killed and wounded our military personal as well as killing hundreds of
thousands of people in Iraq. And destroyed the country for the power crazed
goals of a few greedy neo cons and the military industrial corporations.

They want to control our minds so fight back and don't listen to them is our
best everyday weapon.

The earth, the animals and CO2 blanket

It seems we generally would rather choke to death and currently pay $115 bbl for crude oil than give up our CO2 producing motor vehicles. So if that's the way 'it is' we may want to consider another option to reduce petroleum use. And yes, i am aware of the promised wonders of the electric car and which i consider an energy illusion such as the current over heated panacea ...ethanol fuels. And maybe by using more hydroelectric and nuclear power sources we could delay the day of transportation energy reckoning. But even with those possible options it will be short term and not a solution.. Also, neither is suitable as a mobile fuel. Petroleum and the industrial/transportation society are inseparable.
We are all living in a green gas chamber so as to options if we continue as we are the options for all of us will soon be either a quick gulp or holding our breaths for a few seconds longer while fiddling with the electric 'plug in's' and the innovative combustion fuel mixes.
Giving up our meat/dairy addictions is what i am proposing we do... first. A meat/dairy based human diet requires more energy and produces more pollution than all of the... transportation fuels... we use combined. Remember, we grow grains to feed 'live stock' which we then eat. And it doesnt get any less energy efficient than that equation.
The option. As and option to parting with the petroleum fueled vehicles I am suggesting people may want to consider going to a vegetable based diet.
It would require no new and massive technical innovations. Just eating what grows from the ground including the grains we now feed to the animals that we in turn then eat while millions of people starve. I found these statistics that may justify this approach at this site and I'm sure their are many other detailed statistics being offered.
And also with this grain/veggie approach we would be much more healthy and all of us better fed. Someone might say...you are being facetious. But isn't this the reality of the situation if we look at the energy consumption figures being presented. And as too the question of how would we implement these changes?

Simple... just start know and switch to a vegetable diet. No special training or degree required. This change-over would at some point include no liquor or tobacco which are both enormous energy consumers. Maybe we don't want to confront addiction and indulgence as well as saving the world all at once. But you know you had planned to quit the evil weed and the devil's brew anyway. And seriously saving the world is our priority. We are loosing our walk about rights and patching things up just will not work.
Painful...at first, of course. But the pay off which is continued life for all the planets species is the ultimate reward. In fact, if i maybe candid and not intending any offence to anyone. Isn't life for 'all species' far more rewarding than the mythical eternal life for us that so many of the worlds religions offer to their followers?
I want to mention another option that i am not hearing about at the moment but I'm sure will soon recycle which is space travel and colonization of other solar systems. Though this is presented as a serious possibility and may actually be possible if someone deciphers string theory and finds a back door through the membrane of time. And as you can see the proposal to eat your vegetable's.... is a lot closer to home for all of us.
So giving up eating other animals flesh and not consuming dairy lactates might now seem more a possibility than it did a moment ago.
The wheel.... in all forms is ultimitly our species absolute imbedded power symbol over all things on this planet. And of course consuming all the other animals just reaffirms for us that we are number one and on the top and it's all here for us. The down side of that elitist perspective is we have excluded ourselves from the other species and aswell the earth and the universe. Yeah, it makes us both lonely and it seems like... expendable. So i see it as a dead end perspective for survival. And unfortunately for everything including ourselves we seem to be willing to die for this misconstrued symbol of world domination.
And another comparison to consider. The earth... is not... a symbol...nor is it in any way for our consumption. It is the wheel of life and we can ride with it or all die on it. We can not define or bargain with creation.

Bloomberg.com: Currencies

In real estate and the equities mkt their is a proven to be right adage
which is initially rarely believe until the pain is felt: "Never chase a
falling market."
And if we also apply this too the dollar people will experience less pain.
Another current truism seems to be as the dollar falls gold/silver
...and...oil will ascend.
Getting out of the burning house is more important than getting in on the
ground floor in a new market.

What is difficult for us to comprehend is the coming economic down turn is
not containable.. The Feds nor the world monetary system has yet to stop the
slide and they are trying by devaluing the reserve currency the dollar.
The hope being to float up and out with the excess fiat currency.
But the actual result is the dollar is very quickly becoming toast... and
without butter or jam.

1948 Palestinian exodus: Information and Much More from Answers.com

Attached is a short history course of which Americans seem tobe completely
unaware of these significant events having happened.
I came across this information in the mid fifties from reading Jewish
intellectual journals which where discussing this situation.
It seemed over my head at the time but i knew it was important.

Their was concern and discussion in some U.S. Jewish circles. But the
general enthusiasm for a Jewish state over-road all other concerns that
where raised by the Jewish minority.
Millions of Jews in Europe had been murdered by the Nazi's and the Zionist
homeland was the top priority. Every Temple in the U.S. was raising funds
for the new country. And the kids all wanted to go live on a kibbutz.
The general American press never mentioned what had or was happening in the
middle east. Also we where NOT middle east oil dependent at that time.

Much later the recent forming of a Israel state by European Jews was used as
an example by a U.S. TV documentary series on the history of war ... of how
Empires are formed. The series was very academic and keenly followed by the
American public who watched the history channel programs. If I hadn't
actually read what had happened i would have been 'taken in' aswell.
It was presented as an academic abstract that the Palestinians had been
displaced by the newly arriving European Jews to form Israel.
Though i can't recall if they mentioned this was also the U.S. continental
expansionist solution for the extermination of native Americans. But I doubt
that would have left the story as just abstract and history. In our case it
had been presented in the nineteenth century as a Christian war against
godless (redskin) heathens. American white farm boys of the day wanted to
join the army and go kill injuns.

In Israel it was part of the Jewish home land destiny myth which reads.
'Palestine was really Israel other than for a 'few' Arabs..who really didn't
belong their since they where come lately squatters.

It seems for the U.S. they got away with it by defeating all native American
Indian nations.... other than the Seminole's. Actually the war with that
nation was our longest war against the native peoples.

When you watch those vintage movies from the thirties and forties you will
NEVER today see the propaganda flicks we all watched where the 'Indians'
where the bad guys and the u.s. army always comes to the rescue of the
heroic covered wagon "settlers" just in the nick of time before they are all
scalped...by the bad guys..... the red skins. Whose native language was
Hollywood pigeon English. It was the same language that Tonto used when
responding to the long ranger so we where pretty sure it was authentic.
It was every Saturday after lunch a double feature for a quarter. And guess
who we cheered for?

I don't think the ultimate out come in the middle east will be the same.
Unless... Israel is able to extinguish Iran at some point soon... the tide
will finally turn against Israel.
Israel has very good war strategist so I'm sure they are aware that they
need to act now against Iran. Especially while they can still work under the
cloak of the U.S. nuclear Empire.

The U.S. pretends they are a friend and ally of Israel which of course is a
saccharin lie as the administration would burn their own mother if it
extended their power over the middle east.
Also, the Allies in the second world war made no effort to save Jews from
extermination in Europe. And the Jewish leaders of the time asked repeatedly
for help to save millions of people.
Do you think the leaders of Israel are unaware of this fact. They recognize
the U.S. would throw them to the mercy of the Arabs if it served their
immediate purpose.
You have doubts? Their is a very significant and powerful Israel lobby in
the U.S. which influences all decisions regarding the middle east.
But with oil supplies diminishing, populations increasing which affects
world demand, crude @ $115 bbl. and gas pump prices expected to reach $5..
this summer. What will come first as a priority Israel expansionisms or U.S.
self serving needs for middle east Arab crude oil? And that's right....
Israel doesn't have any natural resource other than dried fruit... like in
dates. Actually they manufacture allot of weapons for export.
So it's snakes in a barrel hoping the others will fall asleep.

Jewish Liberals to Launch A Counterpoint to AIPAC - washingtonpost.com

This is very welcome and it indicates that both in numbers and dollars the
Zionist and their equivalent the Christian right have almost complete
speaking rights for the Jewish political perspective in the U.S. and middle
east.
As to influencing congressional elections.. i am afraid it will be tears on
a hot skillet for the liberal Jewish organization. The Zionist will as usual
come down really hard on any candidate who speaks out against Zionist Israel
or shows concern for Palestine political rights issues.

Interesting how they don't mention depression though they are offering a

That sounds like a trillion to me. and if we add the one to two trillion
estimated U.S. losses for the middle eastern wars.
And aswell we have a negative trade balance and no savings..Hmm, maybe they
are right not to mention... depression ahead. maybe it's a national economic

I think the best use for information like this is to pass it along.
The more aware we the public are the less likely for them to do it again.
If Israel doesn't first use a false attack scenario before they bomb Iran
then we may experience some type of 'terrorist incident' in the U.S. to
justify our carpet bombing Iran.

And the response..."They would never do that!"
We'll, those buildings that came down on 9/11 apparently were demolished....

14 Structural Engineers Now Publicly Challenge Government's Explanation for
Destruction of the World Trade Center
A prominent engineer with 55 years experience, in charge of the design of
hundreds of major building projects including high rise offices, former
member of the California Seismic Safety Commission and former member of the
National Institute of Sciences Building Safety Council (Marx Ayres) believes
that the World Trade Centers were brought down by controlled demolition (see
also this)

Two professors of structural engineering at a prestigious Swiss university
(Dr. Joerg Schneider and Dr. Hugo Bachmann) said that, on 9/11, World Trade
Center 7 was brought down by controlled demolition (translation here)

Kamal S. Obeid, structural engineer, with a masters degree in Engineering
from UC Berkeley, of Fremont, California, says:

"Photos of the steel, evidence about how the buildings collapsed, the
unexplainable collapse of WTC 7, evidence of thermite in the debris as well
as several other red flags, are quite troubling indications of well planned
and controlled demolition"
Ronald H. Brookman, structural engineer, with a masters degree in
Engineering from UC Davis, of Novato California, writes:

"Why would all 110 stories drop straight down to the ground in about 10
seconds, pulverizing the contents into dust and ash - twice. Why would all
47 stories of WTC 7 fall straight down to the ground in about seven seconds
the same day? It was not struck by any aircraft or engulfed in any fire. An
independent investigation is justified for all three collapses including the
surviving steel samples and the composition of the dust."
Graham John Inman, structural engineer, of London, England, points out:

"WTC 7 Building could not have collapsed as a result of internal fire and
external debris. NO plane hit this building. This is the only case of a
steel frame building collapsing through fire in the world. The fire on this
building was small & localized therefore what is the cause?"
Paul W. Mason, structural engineer, of Melbourne, Australia, argues:

"In my view, the chances of the three buildings collapsing symmetrically
into their own footprint, at freefall speed, by any other means than by
controlled demolition, are so remote that there is no other plausible
explanation!"
Mills M. Kay Mackey, structural engineer, of Denver, Colorado, points out:

"The force from the jets and the burning fuel could not have been
sufficient to make the building collapse. Why doesn't the media mention that
the 11th floor was completely immolated on February 13th, 1975? It had the
weight of nearly 100 stories on top of it but it did not collapse?"
Haluk Akol, Structural Engineer and architect (ret.)

Charles Pegelow, structural engineer, of Houston, Texas (and see this)

Dennis Kollar, structural engineer, of West Bend, Wisconsin

Doyle Winterton, structural engineer (retired)

Michael T. Donly, P.E., structural engineer

William Rice, P.E., structural engineer, former professor of Vermont
Technical College

There are many other structural engineers who have questioned the
government's account in private. We support them and wish them courage to
discuss these vital issues publicly.

General challenged to justify Iraq deployment - CNN.com

More justification for an attack on Iran by Israel and the U.S.
'They' are not winning on the ground and their is nothing in Iraq to be

So that leaves Iran and then Syria.
As Bush has stated he does not need to have approval to expand the middle
east war.
And this will simplify the issue of the 2008 elections.

excerpt:

This isn't about party, it isn't about Bush Bashing. It about our country.
The following is not a great analogy, but it will have to do.

Suppose you went on vacation and asked your neighbor to watch your house -
gave him a key. You get a call while away and it's your neighbor describing
how some burglers were seen going through your house. You rush home find
your house ransacked with lots of breakage, and go next door to talk to the
neighbor. He tells you that he called the police that night but it took them
an hour and 1/2 to get there, even though the police station is a couple of
blocks away. You notice some objects in his living room that look like stuff
you had. In fact his kids are wearing clothes you swear were in your
children's closets. You quiz him closer and ask him to describe the thieves.
They are all 5'10" and have beards, and were wearing black masks, and there
were 19 of them. Nobody else saw them. You notice your neighbor has a new
TV - he has often admired your set - and it is just like yours that was
taken. The police don't have any record of any calls at the time the
burglers were allegedly there. Your front door has no damage and they can't
find out how the thieves could have got in. Then after a while you notice
little lies being told by the neighbor, about other things. He claims that
he returned all the tools he borrowed from you and bought some just like
them, but you can't find yours.

Are you suspicious yet?

You just check the serial numbers of the TV to match against your paper
records and find they have been filed off. Is it worth investigating?

Are you a conspiracy theorist if you want to know more about what went on
while you were away? Is it unreasonable to ask for explanations of the false
statements? If your neighbor won't look you in the eye, and won't talk to
you without his lawyer (or his vice president), is that anything to worry
about? If you notice the local police chief wearing a suit just like you
used to have, right down to the loose inside button, are you paranoid?

The circumstances above would produce confusion and doubts in the best of
us. Who can you trust? What if the cops are just part of a crime ring? Then
imagine that it isn't your neighborhood, but it's your country. A place you
thought you knew and in which you felt safe. Your countrymen have been
murdered and the more you delve into it the more it looks as though they
were murdered by our government, who used it as an excuse to murder other
people thousands of miles away.

If you ridicule others who have sincere doubts and who know factual
information that directly contradicts the official report and who want
explanations from those who hold the keys to our government, and have
motive, means, and opportunity to pull off a 9/11, but you are too lazy or
fearful, or ... to check into the facts yourself, what does that make you?
Scholars for 9/11 truth have developed reams of scientific data. Michael
Ruppert published an exhaustive account of the case from the viewpoint of a
trained investigator. David Ray Griffin provides a context for the
unanswered or badly answered questions that should nag at anyone who
pretends to love this country.

Are you afraid that you will learn the truth and you can't handle it? I
think I know some people in that category. Are you afraid you will draw the
attention of thugs who could do the things that were done that day? Do you
believe your fellow man is just not capable of that degree of evil? I would
not have believed that my country would ever become a torture state and have
the Congress arguing with the executive about it. I thought that Habaes
Corpus was fundamental to our civil rights, and now I find that it is not. I
thought my country stood for honorable dealings with other nations, then
watch a jingoistic cheerleading orgy on TV, composed like Oscar night, with
the centerpiece a campaign of "Shock and Awe" as our armed forces invade a
practically defenseless nation, without provocation, while considerable
doubt of the validity of the reasons for that invasion exists. Our fearless
leader clings to lies until they are untenable and then disowns them as
though he never spoke them. We, who can pillory a president of one party for
lying about sex cannot call to account a repeated and habitual liar of
another who sends more than 3100 of our soldiers to their deaths - for what?

RealClimate

You may want to read this article which ....disputes the report that the Argo temperature sensing floats had found the oceans where cooling rather than significantly warming. The cooling conclusion was again recently reported by a Australia radio station. Even though... this story from last year stated the instruments where at a different level in the ocean which would indicate a different temperature reading or some such testing problem.
So what ever the cause for the oceans warming. Be it CO2, methane hydrate melting or sun spots. Or all combined along with a few others the oceans are still getting warmer and as well more acid.
ANOTHER OCEAN STORY
They have recently banned Salmon fishing along the northern Pacific coast as they are concerned about extinction of the spices.
And apparently all those farm salmon steaks at markets such as Safeway and Costco are farmed off the coast of Chile. The Salmon are now dieing from something called ISA (infectious Salmon anemia) but not to worry.... as it just kills the fish. It's sorta like some of the diseases that cattle have and since they kill the cattle before they die from the disease it is not considered an epidemic.
So the msg is: Chow down and support the system.

Subject: McCain

10 things you should know about John McCain (but probably don't):

1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's
continued to oppose key civil rights laws.1

2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq,
Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make
Cheney look like Gandhi."2

3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted
against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for
vetoing that ban.3

4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe
versus Wade. It should be overturned."4

5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress
for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year,
then defended Bush's veto of the bill.5

6. He's one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The
Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet
McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing
foreclosure to get a "second job" and skip their vacations.6

7. Many of McCain's fellow Republican senators say he's too reckless to be
commander in chief. One Republican senator said: "The thought of his being
president sends a cold chill down my spine. He's erratic. He's hotheaded. He
loses his temper and he worries me."7

8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign
manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog
group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his
campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.8

9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent
years. The pastor McCain calls his "spiritual guide," Rod Parsley, believes
America's founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a "false
religion." McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John
Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights
and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."9

10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes,
zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.10

Opposing views on Americaâ?Ts Likudnik war with Iran. - Forums powered by Reason and Principle

Wm Lind is a military strategist who has taught at war colleges around the
world.
I conclude this is a fair and balanced analysis of the crisis issue as to
whether we the U.S. will soon attack Iran.

A few things of significance which he does not mention is Israel which is
the real player in this action could and probably plans to attack Iran.
When that happens and of course it would be a subterfuge war the U.S. is
immediately involved and would also bomb Iran.

Iran as 'Persians' may stand alone in the middle east but if attack it will
confirm for other middle east countries their worst suspicion of ..we are
next.

Israel clearly recognizes it is now or never to get the u.s. military to
fight their war. As the U.S. military is exhausted and this country is
broke. Also, the U.S. will be well into a economic depression by this time
next year.
And though the neo-con would defer elections for 2008 and declare Marshal
law. They could still loose significantly to world economic issues.

So for a answer to the question of will war with Iran happen?
My conclusion is they can only walk to the edge so many time before they
jump or with the help of 'friends' are pushed into the fire.

Quick Poll: $102 Billion MORE for Iraq?

In April, Congress will consider Bush's demand for another $102
billion for the never-ending and disastrous occupation of Iraq.

This is on top of the $562 billion Congress has already given Bush
since 2003.

And it is on top of the $3 trillion the Iraq War is estimated to cost
for veterans' care, weapons replacement, and higher oil prices.

How should your Representatives vote? Simply click the link below your
choice to vote.

Yes: give Bush $102 billion more for Iraq

http://archive.democrats.com/poll.cfm?email=larrylewis@baymoon.com&fieldname=1

No: do not give Bush $102 billion more for Iraq and tell him to use
existing funds to bring our troops safely home.

http://archive.democrats.com/poll.cfm?email=larrylewis@baymoon.com&fieldname=2

Not sure:

http://archive.democrats.com/poll.cfm?email=larrylewis@baymoon.com&fieldname=3

(If you make a mistake, simply vote again - your last vote will
replace your earlier vote.)

If you want your Representatives to vote no, you need to tell them .
Here's how:

1. Email your Senators and Representative , and ask your friends and
relatives to join you:

http://www.democrats.com/iraq-petition

2. Help organize a Town Hall Meeting with your Representative in
April. Volunteers are organizing Town Halls from coast to coast , but we
need your help to reach our goal of 435 Town Hall Meetings - one for every
Representative.

We have fabulous coalition partners , speakers , and web/email tools
to help you make your Town Hall a success. So act now - don't wait for
Congress to steal another $102 billion from urgent needs like health care,
education, jobs, and the environment.

For inspiration, on the 40th anniversay of the murder of Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr., let's remember his powerful words :

"Those of us who love peace must organize as effectively as the war
hawks. As they spread the propaganda of war, we must spread the propaganda
of peace... We must demonstrate, teach and preach, until the very
foundations of our nation are shaken. We must work unceasingly to lift this
nation that we love to a higher destiny, to a new plateau of compassion, to
a more noble expression of humanness."

Thanks for all you do!

Fw: Leaders wavering on Tibet

Subject: Leaders wavering on Tibet

Dear friends, On Monday, a global day of action delivered the
1.5-million strong Avaaz Tibet petition to Chinese embassies and consulates
worldwide. Click to see photos, and to urge your head of state to join the
call for change:
See photos and take action!

On Monday, thousands of people in 84 cities worldwide marched for
justice for Tibet--and delivered the 1.5 million-signature Avaaz petition to
Chinese embassies and consulates around the globe. (Click below for photos.)
Avaaz staff have engaged with Chinese diplomats in New York and London,
delivering the petition and urging action. And a growing chorus of world
leaders is joining the call.

China is on the fence--indicating an openness to talks with the Dalai
Lama, while at the same time pressuring other governments to support its
continuing crackdown. Each day, more leaders declare their stance. It's time
to redouble our efforts--click below to send a personal message to your head
of state, urging support for dialogue with the Dalai Lama--and check out the
photo gallery from Monday's day of action!

http://www.avaaz.org/en/tibet_report_back/7.php/?cl=70060587

Together, we've built an unprecedented wave of global pressure. The
Avaaz petition is one of the biggest and fastest-growing global online
petitions on any topic in history; since it launched on March 18, it has
been signed by 100,000 people per day--an average of more than 4,000 per
hour, day and night.

Politicians understand that there is power in numbers. We need to show
them that they have more to gain by listening to their own people--and
heeding the cry for help from Tibet--than by giving China a pass in the
lead-up to the Olympic Games. Take action now

http://www.avaaz.org/en/tibet_report_back/7.php/?cl=70060587

We're privileged to be alive at a time when people anywhere can reach
out and support people everywhere--instantly. If we have the power to make
things better, we have a responsibility to act. Thanks for what you've done
so far, for the people of Tibet and for a more humane world for all.

With hope,

Ben, Ricken, Graziela, Galit, Paul, Iain, Pascal, and the Avaaz team

PS - The more people sign the petition, the more powerful our call for
change. We will hope to deliver it to the Chinese government again once we
reach our target of 2 million signers. If you haven't already, please
forward the email below to your friends and family, and urge them to sign
the Tibet petition!

________ here's a message to forward to friends _________

Dear friends,

After decades of suffering, the Tibetan people have burst onto the
streets in protests and riots. The spotlight of the upcoming Olympic Games
is now on China, and Tibetan Nobel peace prize winner the Dalai Lama is
calling to end all violence through restraint and dialogue--he urgently
needs the world's people to support him.

China's leaders are lashing out publicly at the Dalai Lama--but we're
told many Chinese officials believe dialogue is the best hope for stability
in Tibet. China's leadership is right now considering a crucial choice
between crackdown and dialogue that could determine Tibet's--and
China's--future.

We can affect this historic choice--China does care about its
international reputation, and we can help them choose the right path.
China's President Hu Jintao needs to hear that the 'Made in China' brand and
the upcoming Olympics in Beijing will succeed only if he makes the right
choice. But it will take an avalanche of global people power to get his
attention. Click below now to join 1.5 million others and sign the
petition--and tell absolutely everyone you can right away--our goal is 2
million voices united for Tibet:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/tibet_end_the_violence/97.php/?cl=70060587

China's economy is dependent on "Made in China" exports that we all
buy, and the government is keen to make the Olympics in Beijing this summer
a celebration of a new and respected China. China is also a sprawling,
diverse country with much brutality in its past. And it has good reasons to
be concerned about stability -- some of Tibet's rioters killed innocent
people. But President Hu must recognize that the greatest danger to Chinese
stability and development today comes from hardliners who advocate
escalating repression, not from those Tibetans seeking dialogue and reform.

We have presented the petition at protests, marches, rallies, and
private meetings with Chinese diplomats around the world--and we will keep
sending it as long as it keeps growing. Please forward this email to your
address book with a note explaining to your friends why this is important,
or use our tell-a-friend tool to email your address book--it will come up
after you sign. The Tibetan people have suffered quietly for decades. It is
finally their moment to speak--we must help them be heard.

With hope and respect,

The Avaaz team

U.S. Initial Jobless Claims Rose 38,000 to 407,000 (Update6)

By Bob Willis

April 3 (Bloomberg) -- The number of Americans filing first-time claims for
unemployment benefits unexpectedly increased last week to the highest level
since just after Hurricane Katrina in September 2005.

Initial jobless claims climbed by 38,000 in the week that ended March 29 to
407,000, the Labor Department said today in Washington. The four-week moving
average, a less volatile measure, rose to 374,500 last week from 358,750,
Labor said.

The biggest housing recession in a generation, coupled with mounting losses
in financial markets, is prompting companies to sack workers and consumers
to slow their spending. The Labor Department may report tomorrow the U.S.
lost jobs in March for a third month, according to economists surveyed.

``It is reflecting a fundamental weakening in the labor market,'' said Dana
Saporta, an economist at Dresdner Kleinwort in New York. ``People that are
already unemployed are finding it more difficult to find new jobs. All of
this data is consistent with a rising unemployment rate.''

Treasury securities rose and stocks fell following the report. The yield on
the 10-year Treasury note fell to 3.56 percent at 10:32 a.m. in New York
from 3.60 percent late yesterday. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 0.4
percent to 1362.32.

Economists surveyed by Bloomberg News had forecast initial claims would
remain unchanged at 366,000, according to the median of 40 estimates.
Estimates ranged from 350,000 to 386,000.

Service Industries Index

A survey from the Institute for Supply Management today showed service
industries contracted less than forecast in March. The Tempe, Arizona-based
ISM's non-manufacturing index rose to 49.6 from 49.3 in February. A reading
less than 50 signals contraction. ISM's employment measure remained
unchanged at 46.9.

The number of people remaining on benefit rolls jumped by 97,000 to 2.937
million, the highest level since July 2004, in the week ended March 22,
Labor said.

Last week's initial claims may have been pushed higher as some state
unemployment offices processed a backlog from the previous week, which
included the Good Friday holiday, a Labor Department spokesman said.

Trigger Point

``This is just breaking into recession-type territory,'' Stephen Gallagher,
chief U.S. economist at Societe Generale SA in New York, said in an
interview on Bloomberg Television. ``400,000 is usually a trigger point when
we consider recessionary times.''

The unemployment rate among people eligible for benefits, which tends to
track the U.S. jobless rate, rose to 2.2 percent from 2.1 percent. These
data are also reported with a one-week lag.

Twenty-two states and territories reported an increase in new claims, while
31 reported a decrease, today's Labor report said.

Initial jobless claims reflect weekly firings and tend to rise as job
growth -- measured by the monthly non-farm payrolls report -- slows.

Job losses, falling home prices and slowing retail sales are indicating a
worsening economy. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke this week
acknowledged for the first time that a U.S. recession is possible.

Bernanke's Outlook

``It now appears likely that real gross domestic product will not grow much,
if at all, over the first half of 2008 and could even contract slightly,''
Bernanke said in testimony to Congress on April 2. He said he expected
unemployment to move ``somewhat higher'' in line with data showing a
``softer labor market.''

The Labor Department tomorrow may report the economy lost 50,000 jobs in
March, following a decline of 63,000 jobs in February that was the largest
loss in five years, according to a Bloomberg survey of economists.
Unemployment rose to 5 percent from 4.8 percent, the economists forecast.

A strike at auto-parts supplier American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc.
is contributing to falling jobs at vehicle and parts makers. The walkout has
closed or idled 30 plants at GM, affecting almost half of the automaker's
workforce.

Homebuilders and housing-related businesses, including lenders and financial
service companies with exposure to mortgage-backed securities, are also
stepping up firings.

Wall Street banks hit by mortgage losses and writedowns have cut more than
34,000 jobs in the past nine months, the most since the dot-com boom fizzled
in 2001, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets
Association.

This year, banks including Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., Citigroup Inc. and
Morgan Stanley have been reducing staff in fixed income trading,
securitization and investment banking. So far, Lehman has eliminated 18
percent of its workforce, Morgan Stanley has cut 6 percent, and Merrill
Lynch & Co. has trimmed 4.5 percent, according to the association.

Peak oil | Salon News

You may also want to click on James Kunstler's name which is imbedded in
this article.
It is an interview from 2005 with Kunstler and what makes it exceptionally
interesting to me is how accurate his predictions are turning out to be.
And i think it is happening faster than he was predicting when he was
interviewed.

I originally picked this up@ www.theoildrum.com

which is the mental
watering hole for the teckies concerned with peak oil issues.

Should the U.S. nationalize its own money supply? | Wake Up From Your Slumber

I recently sent a e.mail detailing who owns and operates and controls 'our'
money and banks.
One person and understandable questioned my statement that 'our' 'Federal
Reserve Bank system was foreign controlled.
The site below lists who the owners are. And of the ten.... seven are
foreign owned.
And actually i suspect that one of the 'American' based banks may be foreign
controlled. The one shown as 'Rockefeller family' is probably
JPMorgan/Chase.
