With gasoline skyrocketing towards $4/gal, those yelling Perkasieites
may want to ask where you got that scooter. Vespa and Cushman
scooters were once ubiquitous with male teenagers throughout the Rust
Belt in the Fifties and Sixties when gas was two bits or less and
before Honda screwed the works. I have talked with the outcast one
recently , scootersalami, and he has been looking most frequently
into his glass ball, actually an endless succession of glass beer
bottles, and has seen nothing but doom and gloom for the U.S. economy
until the end of the decade, characterized by rising consumer good and
commodity
prices coupled with stagnant and declining pay rates for middle class
America. Perfect breeding conditions for scooters.
