And pragmatist that Ole Charlie demonstrates he is... does help us to cut
through the political fog.
And the perennial problem for the voter in what is refer to as the two party
system is any proposals to solutions are only acceptable if they fit into
the economic driven structure of the 'free market'.
And which of course is in it self... make believe and another name for:
expanding Empire.
So the potential voter having only these defined from above choices and when
frightened and with out choice is going to play in this fixed card game. You
may recall that Jane and Joe without Doe, has been boycotting elections for
about thirty years or more. Boring, same old, and which actually translate
as FIXED! Maybe not always hanging chads but NO choice that s/he could
stomach.
And today people are very frightened. They know the economy is tanking along
with the few jobs left state side. That the mad dogs of inflation are
ripping at the food and fuel costs.
And whether every one understand the fine points that we have peak oil, peak
water and peak food. And aswell that the 60 degree line going up to the sky
on the charts is world population. Which is another forbidden subject NOT to
be discuss.
And what ever they tell us... that it is not... the freaking weather has
become a... living nightmare.
And as we all know the looming threat of martial law is just a school book
name for fascist repression. And which of course is not discussed but we can
see the symptoms of the terminal disease anywhere we ...care to look in the
"Homeland"..Their is a difference between surf boards and water boards and
we all know it.
So I got to agree with Ole Charlie it's a scam but it's a scam being offered
by the somewhat new and acknowledged system players and we the pack of
opportunist rodents that we are just might survive a little longer eating
the crumbs that fall from their golden plates. That's what I think is
happening this time around.
People maybe helpless against the structure but never doubt for a minute
that allot of them are not now wondering is their a door on this just keep
running rat race. And a little of that hope is being acted out here by
picking who they will put their X by.

I imagine folks really want a change, are fed up with how government works.
Hillary, with Bill in tow, are certainly a part of that governmental edifice
the people are so disillusioned with. So they manage to overlook that Obama
had to sell his soul to get where he is. And they wont look ahead far
enough to realize that he's likely to be served up as somebody's breakfast
on capital hill. Reformers and and patriots are both true believers, and so
share a lack of a sense of reality... probably that illusion of hope is all
that keeps them from shooting themselves in the head.

read their site they emphasis health, anti war and women's issues so i
suspect it is a women majority for subscribers. And progressive women have

Obama just has allot less baggage bad and good and that's a plus if the
voters are disappointed with the lack of action by the sitting Democratic
Congress and especially around NOT bring the troops home and the looming
economic issues. Like... is that a lake or cesspool directly ahead?
If dramatic leadership and result are the issue Pelosi is no shining star
and maybe they haven't dotted the eyes or is it i's. But people are scared
this time and they don't want to make another mistake and vote for a
candidate who may also be 'influenced' by big money as well as a small
country in the middle east.
The election is not about who is going to win the election... the Demos or
the Repo's.
"Mommy, what's a Republican? Sweetie, it's just another name for Dinosaurs
and they are almost extinct."
So it's entirely between Obama and Clinton. A completely new occurrence
for presidential elections since WW2.

To be clear, we won't always agree with all of Obama's positions. And
MoveOn members said overwhelmingly that, regardless of who wins the

Whatever happens in the primary, we'll push the Democratic nominee to
campaign progressively and then we'll push them to fulfill their promises
after they win.
The building of a progressive consensus around Senator Obama is tangible.
Earlier this week, John F. Kennedy's daughter Caroline Kennedy said Obama is
the first presidential candidate to be as inspirational as her father.2
Yesterday, progressive magazine The Nation said that electing Obama is "a
chance we can't pass up."3 And then DailyKos.com, the most widely read
progressive blog, announced Obama won 76% in a reader poll this week.4
