Positive thinking and a good attitude are essential to a balanced state of
mental well-being. Or so Norman V. Peal would tell his middle class
congregation on a Sunday morning.
But then cold, hunger and a lack of shelter can also be a distraction for
some of us.
So walking down or up the middle of the path in the practical realm is also
very important.
And from this report enclosed it seems our masters have again robbed the
lauder and are planning on sucking our blood as well.
This may make walking to the poor house difficult and especially for the
children.
The English solved the prickly and unsightly problem in the thirties of what
to do with these unemployed and smelly poor. They set up night lodgings in
old warehouses on the perimeter of the major cities.
And they where situated at a days fast walk apart for those starting at 7
am. So the unemployed where obliged to.... quickly.... walk from one to the
next or expect to be arrested and spend the night in jail.
And the walking or maybe marching song was a ditty in praise of hot gruel
which they where served along with stale bread after being locked in every
night a six. They had to be in by six or expect to chat with a Bobby.
Ah the simple life. no past, present or future.
We'll their was church on Sunday. Though it was rumored the wealthy slept
in. But then the wealthy need less spiritual guidance; just ask them and
they will tell you so.
