treated as a scientific organization who is just holding a conference for
scientist.
"We are natures friend and yours too" kinda hokum. It's one step removed
from the Chevron gasoline ads with the happy talking cars and the cute
little chipmunks.
People who are living next to oil refineries 'especially' appreciate those
commercials.
What HLG is really doing is inviting and at all expenses paid 'some'
scientists but mostly corporate hacks to come to NY for a short vacation and
attend a staged climate conference. And if they give a short talk that's
another $1000 to take home.
Who is the real sponsor footing the bills? Oil and coal corporations.
This is not mentioned in this article so it comes across as legitimate and
adds the element of doubt regarding climate change and it's causes that the
corporations want. The product of this sham will be news media stories and
publicity.
Fox media will be all over this and of course it will all be treated as
factual scientific information. It also will then be referenced in other
general reading publications and the seed of doubt will be planted in
peoples minds that the scientist are lying and have an agenda to fabricate
climate change information.
i.e. don't worry and buy a bigger car but bottom line just buy! And remember
the oil/coal companies are really your friend and we are sorry it is costing
so much. But it's those rag heads who are robbing us ALL and surely not us
flag waving, bible thumping pigs in suits.
Yes, this is a wet and cold winter but that will not change the... fact we
and the earth will soon be roasting again. And the forests will again be
burning .....all while the rivers go dry.
